Take Recall Notices Seriously

Here at Auto Tech, safety is our number one goal for our customers. This includes making sure you are aware of all outstanding safety issues and recalls. There is one very important safety check you can do, on your vehicle, from home: checking for vehicle recalls. 

Now, you may be thinking that there is no way your car has a safety recall out on it; you would’ve been notified, in the mail, on the phone, or in your e-mail. But mail gets misplaced or thrown out, phone calls get forwarded to voicemail boxes that are not yet set up, and e-mails get mass deleted or ignored. 

It is important to check that your car does not have a safety recall and the good news is checking is very easy to do! You can take your VIN number (found on your vehicle’s registration or insurance card) to one of the following websites: www.checktoprotect.org or www.nhtsa.gov/recalls.
